Born in 1988, Tran Minh Thai lives and works in Hoi An (Vietnam) .
Trần works and research on ceramics since 2018. Through times, he sees that the way soil and the ceramic glaze work is similar to the circle of life: birth and death. The close connection between materials and work process is his priority. Being inspired by the transformation of raw materials, observing and acknowledging what happens within and about the world and its interconnections, he focuses on the purity and originality of the selves and how contemporary life affects them. Active and passive changes and the desire to control them have never been outside of human’s intention.
